Teams 5-8 doesn't deal with Baldy McNosehair, but instead the villain of Sonic '06: Mephiles the Dark! Love or hate the game, he is back and with the energy of the Time Eater he is causing rifts through time and space! Now our heroes travel through time and space to defeat foes that have been fought by our blue hedgehog! The stages are in the same style as the Modern Sonic stages from Sonic Generations! It's up to our heroes to defeat Eggman before he can take over the world! For the first four teams it is the same plot as Sonic Heroes: Eggman has made the ultimate weapon that he claims will conquer the world in 3 days time.
